Part 02A

Drawing a character with the Pen Tool

Today we are going to Draw Fred Flintstone in Adobe Illustrator, we will color him on Monday Next Week in class.
After we have drawn him out  and have colored him, I will be showing you how to break the character up for animation, also on Monday.

For homework on Week 03 please make a warm (Morning) and cool (Night time) version of Fred and post it to the blog before our next Wednesday Week 03 class.




Part 03

Practice with the "other" TOOLS




Create a file that is 11x 8.5.
Create a square with a stoke (4) only that takes no more than  3/5 of the vertical space. and create
3 rows 5 columns deep.
Use the Align tools to make sure your squares are evenly spaced and distributed.

The Top Row- please label and demonstrate the following tools.
Width Tool
Warp Tool
Twirl Tool
Pucker Tool
Bloat Tool

The Mid Row- please label and demonstrate the following tools.
Scallop Tool
Crystalize Tool
Wrinkle Tool
Star Tool -Stroke Only
Star Tool -Fill Only


The bottom Row- please label and demonstrate the pathfinder tools by creating a word balloon.
Draw Elipse
Draw Tail
Unite with Pathfinder
Text Tool
Copy and Paste Fill to back... (Paste to back CTRL B on PC or CMD B on MAC)
